Chess For Fighters

Chess for Fighters is a free program offered by Angels Boxing Academy for both summer and afterschool sessions. This chess program is designed to help the youth enhance their strategic thinking and analytical skills, which can be very useful in the ring and life. The program is open for kids 4-17 and skill levels, from beginners to advanced.
  Participants will learn the basics of chess, including how to set up the board, the movements of each piece, and basic strategies. They will also have the opportunity to improve their game through practice games and competitions. The program is led by experienced chess players who can provide guidance and feedback to help participants improve their game. 

 This program is a great way to introduce fighters to the world of chess and to help them develop skills that can be applied both in and out of the ring. Whether you're looking to improve your strategic thinking or just looking for a fun and challenging activity, Chess for Fighters is the perfect program for you! 

At Angels Boxing Academy, we believe that education is just as important as physical fitness. Our Free Tutoring Program is designed to provide academic support to students in our community, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in school and beyond.

Our tutoring program offers one-on-one and small group sessions led by qualified volunteers, educators, and college students who are passionate about helping young learners thrive. The program is open to students of all ages and grade levels, focusing on key academic subjects, including:

• Mathematics (Basic Math, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus)
• Reading & Writing (Comprehension, Essay Writing, Grammar, Vocabulary)
• Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
• Social Studies & History
• Homework Help & Study Skills

• Sessions are held at Angels Boxing Academy in a designated study space, creating a safe and structured environment for learning.
• Tutoring is available on a drop-in basis or by appointment, allowing flexibility for students with busy schedules.
• Group study sessions are also available, helping students learn collaboratively and build study habits.
• Volunteer tutors work closely with each student to identify their challenges and develop personalized learning strategies.
• We provide additional resources such as test preparation for standardized exams (SAT, ACT, GED, etc.) and college application assistance to help students plan for their future.

We recognize that many students in our community face challenges that can impact their academic performance, including lack of access to educational resources, financial struggles, and personal hardships. By offering free tutoring, we aim to:
