MEET THE STAFF

Angel’s Boxing Academy was established following a distressing incident of bullying that occurred in an elementary school setting involving Angel’s own son. Witnessing the challenges his child faced due to bullying and the lack of available resources to address the issue, Angel sought a solution to support his son and others facing similar struggles. Drawing from his own experience of finding solace and mental clarity through sports in his youth, Angel turned to boxing as a means to help his child cope with emotions and build resilience. Through coaching his son, Angel not only strengthened their father-son bond but also witnessed remarkable improvements in his child’s mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

After witnessing the positive transformation in his own son, Angel recognized the need to extend this support to other children in the community who were grappling with bullying and its detrimental effects on their overall development. This realization led to the inception of Angel’s Boxing Academy, where children could not only learn the sport of boxing but also gain valuable life lessons in discipline, perseverance, and teamwork. The academy emphasizes parental involvement, with a focus on parents actively participating in their children’s training sessions to witness firsthand the positive impact of boxing on their children's growth and development. By promoting a holistic approach to well-being encompassing physical, mental, and emotional health, Angel’s Boxing Academy aims to empower Lake County children to navigate life's challenges with confidence and resilience.
